We started framing over 5 years ago and qualified as Guild Commended Framers, a prestigious qualification that proves the competence of framers by both theory and practical testing.  By obtaining this qualification you have shown that you are able to conserve art in the correct way.  If you leave a newspaper on the table for long enough it will turn yellow, well that’s caused by lignin in the paper, use cheap mount board in the framing process and that same lignin will spread on to your precious artwork, for that reason alone we only frame using conservation standard mount board, this ensures that your artwork will be free from deterioration caused by cheap mount board.

We love working with real wood mouldings, a little more costly but real wood works well, either waxed, stained, dyed or simply left untreated, real wood stands the test of time, We use Oak, Ash, Beech, Wenge and pine in our frame building. we also use a large selection of finished mouldings, we can source from over 1500 different finishes and profiles.  We undertake some strange and complicated framing jobs, from horse blankets, medals, toys to rare original oil paintings.

We dont rush you in the selection of frames and finishes, we will spend the time necessary to advise you of various options, colours and finishes available.
